Work on the construction site continues even during the pandemic.

Between November 2019 and March 2020, the entire facade of our hospital was plastered.

August 2020: Vinyl floors from ter Hürne GmbH & Co. KG are loaded
June 2020: Donations in kind are stored
Meanwhile, new donations in kind are constantly arriving in Lünen, including tiles from Linnenbecker and vinyl flooring from ter Hürne, which are stored so that another container can be sent on its way.

The view from above clearly shows some of the containers that have already arrived on site and are still filled with materials. The positive impact of the future hospital operation on construction activity in the adjacent areas is also clearly visible. The expected changes in terms of jobs, infrastructure, etc. and the necessary care for all people around this operation will ensure rapid settlement. Our hospital will therefore soon be embedded in the center of a new district – in contrast to when construction began.

September 2020: On the first floor, the ceilings including the stucco work are painted and the floors are tiled.

October 2020: Lamps and ceiling panels are loaded and secured for transport.
A load of lamps and ceiling panels from the company Aug. Krämer Kornbrennerei GmbH in Dortmund are loaded and taken to the container site. We were able to temporarily store donations in the Krämer company’s premises for several years.
Christophorus Clinics; Dülmen, Germany
“Bed linen, towels, baby clothes and medical workwear”
In October 2020, the Christophorus Clinics in Dülmen donated their entire laundry bundle to us, enough for a 200-bed hospital.
