The next container arrives at the construction site and is unloaded.
The container has to get through the driveway somehow! With concentration and caution, the helpers instruct the driver and guide the vehicle to its parking space.
The ceilings are being done in the stairwell. Plastering and stucco work are planned. Ventilators will later be installed under the stucco rosettes.
Despite the ongoing pandemic, construction work is progressing thanks to local workers. They are not returning to their villages so as not to endanger their families. For this reason, all workers sleep in our hospital building and each uses one of our mattresses to sleep on.
Container location. Lünen; Germany
Meanwhile, 3 oxygen concentrators and 3 care tubs are being brought to the containers in Lünen and stored.
Promedis Specialist Hospital, Sapeiman; Ghana
Work is also progressing on the roof so that the building is completely watertight the next time it rains.
Lunen; Germany
For 5 weeks we were able to draw attention to our project in a large shop window, right in the middle of Lünen’s pedestrian zone.

Medical equipment is essential for the care of our future patients. We are delighted that two important devices arrived in October 2021: a mobile X-ray machine and a C-arm, which Dr. Okae and our team happily received. Many thanks to the Catholic Hospital Association Hellweg!
Promedis Specialist Hospital, Sapeiman; Ghana
On October 30, 2021, the time had come: Our tilers flew to Ghana at their own expense to complete the tiling work in the hospital. A huge thank you to Albin, Daniel, Stefan and Josef for this voluntary work!
Our hard-working helpers were on site in Accra for two weeks to push forward the construction of our hospital. We are happy that everything is taking shape and can hardly wait for the opening.
78 supporting pillars were cast to support the ceiling of the extended ground floor.
Under the guidance of Albin Henecke, everyone worked hard to ensure that the staircase was completed before departure.
Diakonie Recklinghausen; Germany
In December we received many children’s beds from the Diakonie Recklinghausen daycare centers, which are used in the children’s ward.
