Construction of the extended ground floor is in full swing. The roof construction is almost finished.
March 2022 Delivery of cement
1200 cement bags of 50kg each have arrived. Work can now continue and the ceiling of the extended ground floor can be poured.

From March to the end of April 2022, an exhibition with information about our project was held in the basement of the Thier-Galerie Dortmund.

Dr. Samuel Okae has been back on site at our hospital construction site in Ghana for a week now. 50 workers are currently employed.

CANADA LIFE FUNDING CAMPAIGN 2022
This year we again took part in Canada life’s fundraising campaign, #machtsmoeglich.
With 492 votes, our project came 5th on the list of the best for “Humanitarian commitment abroad” and received €500 in prize money.

July 2022 Expansion of the operating room doors
Of course, no one enters the operating room without the right protective clothing.
In July 2022, the first of 16 donated doors at the Dortmund Nord Clinic were removed.
Bergkamen; Germany
August 2022 Expansion of the Bergkamen wave pool
The wave pool in Bergkamen was closed to make way for a new, modern pool. The entire inventory was available to us for the expansion. Everything that was useful for our project was removed by our helpers.
The individual items and parts were loaded and stowed in a container that was parked on site.

Humanitarian mission
From October 28th to November 18th, 2022, 12 helpers traveled to Ghana to actively help with our project. Bathrooms and stairs were tiled, donations in kind, some of which are still stored in containers, were transported to completed rooms, recorded and cleaned. Medical equipment was cleaned and catalogued. In the outside area of the wall, we planted palm trees and bougainvillea and temporarily covered the ground with gravel to get rid of the weeds.
